Auld dear in motability motor ran into the bacK of my works van(not mine or my insurance but companies). Not much damage to mine but I had to inform work obviously as I would get dug up for damage when lease runs out.
Woman wasn't that bothered about hers as she kept pointing out all the previous damage on her front bumper.
I still don't know how she managed itbas we were approaching merging lane in contraflow and she had been crawling behind me for a mile.
I came to a stop with the traffic in front and she shunted into me.
Do I need to inform my own private insurance as they will use it as an excuse to bump up my premium?

Did she have licence plates... No, so I wouldn't worry for a second.

If in the very unlikely chance she did then I would worry a tiny little bit

It might be worth reporting it but bear in mind, I was sitting stationary in traffic when I was rear ended by a guy not paying attention and despite it not being my fault my insurance has increased by over £100. So your call at the end of the day.

Indeed, if you feel like giving money away feel free to declare it.

Isn't that covered under works insurance? I'm covered for business mileage on mine, guessing if I had a knock on a non-work jobbie it'd come under my DOC though. If it was on the job then you should be able to file it under business (unless you have business mileage on your policy or indeed do things different from me), otherwise if it was private then you should be free to do as you please - after all, the company are only interested in receiving a vehicle in a satisfactory condition at the end of your lesae, not how it got to that condition.

'Auld dear in a Motability motor' is VERY ambiguous.

It could mean a scooter or a car.. The 3/4 wheeled oap vehicles on the road and path are suppose to be registered with licence plates. They are not meant to be driven on the pavement.

We were hit by a woman driving a car provided on motability too, we were overtaking her when she decided to pull out into the right lane despite there been nothing ahead of her rolleyes

As in your instance, she seem quite used to providing her insurance details... was the old dear in a dark blue vectra ? laugh
