Depends if you want to keep it. If you never want to sell then the lack of Service History and Cat D is less relevant - if you reckno you might want to shift it in the future then I would drive the price down as low as you can becuase that is what someone will do to you when you come to sell.

Hava a flick down ebay - £5k to £5.5k currently buys you early cars with service history that have not been involved in an accident. smile

hear what you say however I look at it as hell lot work gone into the car and prob better than a unrecorded car, as people often get the upgrades and niggles done for what could have been a light panel damage . still listening to you all tho thanks for inputs to date

The £5k to £5.5k cars need alot of money spending on them, can`t understand why so many people have hangups with cat D cars. They would not be on the road if they were not safe ! get a grip.Seems to me its a excuse to exploit the seller!using any excuss to get it cheap as possible...That car looks spot on and well sorted its worth more than 5k,you will get the same buz as a 15k car from a fancy show room..There are many cars out there which have been damaged and repaired with out the insurance company getting involved so know one rearly knows what they are buying...

Seems like you have your heart set on this car,if your worried take it to a TVR specialist or four wheel alignment centre to see if its straight and true.you could go one step further and take it the Autolign for a full check.Your only paying about the same as a rusty old MGB so go for it.Even Quinny sold his old Griff which was a cat c (even a griff )laugh
