Chill Winston.
I never really did understand the point of Twitter, even though I have set up some services which generate Twitter data about aviation related safety issues - in-your-face-NOTAMs, basically. The number of subscribers was a surprise, but I suspect a lot of it was robots tuning in to my robot.
I now get the point of Twitter, because it actually replicates the whole purpose of the Internet Protocol, decades after (D)ARPA.
The IP protocol was designed to route around the damage nuclear war would inflict on a civilian communications network....but, as has been observed so many times, it interprets censorship as damage of the same order it was designed to route around.
Times have changed, and the techniques used to block traffic have been refined, but you have to try very, very hard to block something like Twitter.
Even though it is, in general, a conduit for terabytes of inane shyte, Twitter also provides one of the most hardened, un-jammable communication channels we have ever seen.
He lost!!

"Mr Mosley had argued financial damages could not restore his reputation following the front-page article and pictures about his meeting with five prostitutes in a London flat."
"He pursued the case to the Human Rights Court, challenging UK privacy laws which allow publication without giving targets advanced warning.
He was aggrieved that he had not been made aware of the paper's intention to publish and so never had the chance to apply for an injunction to stop the story."
