Learning what the car's like in the wet

I am happy with my road car in the dry, but in the wet come over all scared because the limits change. The you've got oil or other variations on the road to think about. Being rwd and pretty grippy I don't find it too easy to explore this safely on the road. Therefore any suggestions for track-type experiences that will help? I've done a number of track days but all in the dry. Not only that but I'm not too keen on provoking the car into a spin when you've got other people screaming around on track as well, doesn't seem like a brilliant idea. Obviously I can't guarantee the weather so perhaps I could use of one of those permanently wet sprayed tracks? Any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them...

You can use a really wet track day. I have had great fun at Castle Combe on really wet days for example. The speeds come right down and you learn a lot.
The problem with car control in the wet is that you need to practice. Skid pans and the like are really good (although they often iuse their own cars) for learning what the techniques are, but you need to practice it a lot to get it ingrained.
If you do track days in the autumn/winter, you'll get wet ones. They can be great fun!

Why not doing a Drifting day at Oulton Park.
They use the Rally tarmac track (slippery) and they wet it too.
Not much wear on tyres and allows you to learn control of your car on a drift situation at contralable speeds.
