Chimaera 450 tyre size

Hi. I am really confused at what size tyres to fit on my 1999 450 Chimaera. I am running standard wheels with power steering, need a full set of tyres and getting confused. Can any of you point me in the right direction of the best sizes to fit. Cheers

from memory, my '99 450 came with: 205/55R15 and 225/50R16 from the factory.

These were the original sizes fitted to the early Chims, the later ones generally had the Griff sizes. Which to go for depends upon your driving style/conditions/requirements. There is no one answer that is best for everyone.

According to the SH "bible"

Front 225/50ZR15
Rear 225/50ZR16

Mine is non PAS so the fronts are differenr 205/55ZR15
It is confusing

ZR not always available, but V ok for fronts and W for rears - check with Insurance Company beforehand.

Wow, that was quick !!! What size where the Griffs fitted with? If later Chimaera's had them fitted I may opt for them.
