I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this. A friend of mine has a car for sale and having taken a deposit the buyer HPI'd the car only for it to come back as a CAT B!!!

He has been in contact with DVLA and they have no record of the car ever being involved in an insurance write off and its just passed an MOT (yesterday) which DVLA say wouldn't be possible if it was a CAT B.

He now has a car that never been involved in an insurance claim or been written off according to the DVLA... but has HPI history and his unable to sell

Does anyone know how to get the information removed from ALL the Vehicle check data bases or where to start?

Contact HPi, get them to recheck the details recorded against the car, if DVLA confirm them what they have told your friend they will ammend their records.... all sorted.
