Thankyou gifts for French hosts. Suggestions?

Once again my little group of 3 cars with 6 people are off to LeMans and we are lucky enough to have French families to give us acommodation where we have been shown fantastic hospitality. In the past I have struggled to think of gifts to put in a Thankyou package for them and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. I was thinking of things which are not commonly available in French shops which they may like. Has anyone been told of English things which their French friends enjoy.

Last weekend I took homemade Sloe Gin and something from Fortnum and Mason . Went down a treat. And very British.

When I go to a shelter or bed and breakfast, I offer always Belgian beers (normal live belgium) local products are always welcome! So you know the rest. Good fun at 24 h.

Cheers Muppetdave although I think bacon would not be good if not refridgerated but the print is a good idea. Amazon, no time to make sloe gin or swing by Fortnum's but your suggestion may lead me on to something else. As for soap ...... cheeky bugger! save it for yourself, it's a long, usually hot weekend.
