Sent my reclaimed 4-panel door off to be dipped and stripped - pretty sure the guys who did it managed to create a split in the door as it was not there when they picked up (frankly though, I was not going to ask any questions of two massive Polish chaps).

So, can I fix the crack? Some wood glue and some clamps? It is about 20 inches long down the right side of the front of the door.

Call 911motorsport. When they see his "kneck" they will fix your door, AND give you a refund

Have you got any pics? you may be better off using polyurethane glue than wood glue.. Its a much stronger hold

Chemical dipping is a very invasive job and even the 'best' doors will suffer some kind of damage.

Is it a crack or a split? Splits can happily be glued back into place with glue and clamps (poly ureathane is good dtuff)

Cracks you have to be more careful with as you will be bending the wood to fill the gap - it can be done just be careful not to over stress the timber.
