Owners of these models.
I'd take 20mins to remove the silver trim with JAGUAR on it across the Boot lid, x4 bolts 2 in the number plate lights and 2 behind plastic blanking plugs. The trim appears to have been badly manufactured on ours with sharp edges against the painted surface. when closing the lid people have pushed on the trim and over time the paint has become damaged.
I had MR TLC come today to repair the chips/scabs that had formed under the trim.
I smoothed all the sharp edges and used some self adhesive pads to keep the trim from touching the paint again.
the trim has two clips either end, although you do not need to completely remove it to check for any paint damage, other wise the first you'll notice is when a scab appears frown
