Headlight chrome rings.
Discussion
What fitment are they?
There are a few different types I discovered at a recent show and the ones I took a guess at fitting didn't. Does anyone know what they originally fitted?
The ones I bought look exactly the same as the old ones but are just everso very very very slightly smaller in diameter ......bummer eh!

They are basically mini headlights, also used on just about every kit car in the world as far as I can see! Fairly easy to get hold of the trim, but you will need to add the little strip at the bottom used to secure them to the bonnet. Alternatively if you buy through a TVR specialist they may come with this already done.
I think my new pair are mini and morris minor fitment but they didn't have a little strip and the old pair don't either.
The old trim rings have a hole in one of them for a little screw but there is no screw used, they just push on. You couldn't even get to the underside to secure a screw because of the bonnet shape. I think the trim the other side doesn't have this so I must have a bit of a mixture!
The new rings were pretty good just seemed a fraction too large, perhaps they are correct but just need the strips to hold them firmly in place, what are these strips like?

My new ones (I think) were described as being suitable for a mini or a moggy minor. They are the slightly deeper but less rounded ones and do cover the adjusters very well (previous trims left the adjusters exposed ....uhhmmm yes ....they looked very nice indeed)!
I think I'll have another go with these new trims and see if I can get them to stay in place with a little help from my black silicone gun, or something suitable.
Also replacing those horrible escort "sticky out" square side repeaters with nicely shaped LED flush ones soon (bought at a show for just £10 for a pair).
Thanks for your help guys.
