Oil pressure sender adaptor

Do they all have the thread adaptor fitted?
I picked up a new sender from Power which is listed as the correct one, however, when i went to remove the old one it had a much larger thread. Is that the adapter on the top as its a git to see properly? (i shoved it back in before i got oily for no reason!)
Its a late Chim 400.

Just in case anybody else needs to know, they do have an adaptor fitted and the pressure sender screws into it, i just wasnt sure yesterday and couldnt see properly.
Im not a chim owner, i have a cerb but i have enjoyed working on it/driving it and would quite like my garage to stay how it looks at the minute, with two TVR'!
