Finally set up a site

Using Photium(which I can thoroughly reccomend) I have set up a site to display my images. It's basic at the moment but will be updated as my skills (both photographic and website related) improve. I'm (gulp) open to any comments or suggestions you guys may have?

Cool! Easy enough to navigate and pics are of a decent enough size

I think when you find the limitations of a template site (mine's one too btw) then you'll probably go for something more customisable.

I find Photium and others of the ilk are recognisable, I think it's whether thats important to you or not. I had a Clikpic site and couldnt shake the template feel of it, there's probably more that's been done now though

It's a template site, you'll just look like the next photographer who used the same template*. If your photography is important to you, then it's worth forking out on a bespoke site. Is there any need for the watermark? It kind of spoils the shots. You've made the shots a very lo-res anyhow, not much people can do with them. You could do something quite easily to stop people hotlinking your shots, depends on your host/setup though.

Nice shots though which deserve a better method of displaying in my opinion.

Hopefully this doesn't sound harsh, just drinking my first coffee of the day and have not woken up yet

*I have a real dislike of templates, they will kill the internet if it carries on.

Thanks for the replies. Abarth500, no offence taken. Yep, it's a template site as i'm quite simply not good enough yet to justify anything more. The idea is to help me develop my shooting skills and maybe sell a few shots eventually, beyond that we'll see.
You don't pass your test and get straight into a Ferrari, you have to start off at the bottom

This is just what I did. I wanted an internet "presence" for my new photography business about four years ago; didn't know what I wanted and couldn't justify significant expense. I use Photium too (link here) with a view to investing in something "better" in the future. I'm still with Photium and have taken approaching £20k of orders through the site. This is a "second" business for me, so wasn't lookin to invest in something that affected my primary source of income.

Yes it does look like all the other Photium sites and perhaps one day, I'll get a bespoke design that better reflects my photography style (if I have one!). There are some beautiful and elegant examples around. For now, I'm perfectly happy with my workhorse solution.
