40th Birthday ideas?
Discussion
Fellow P/Heads...
I'm going to reach the dreaded 40 next year, and would like to arrange a trip away for 8 of our closest mates (4 couples).
It will be in March, and ideally I'd like some sun, so was thinking of renting a decent villa in the Canaries, close to some decent nightlife, without actually being in it (if you know what I mean).
Having only ever been to Lanzagrotty I know nada about Tenerife, but have heard that the northern part is quite decent.
Does anyone know where I should look? Or, alternatively does anyone have any better ideas?
over to you

Dont really want to travel too far as really planning for a long weekend (Thurs/Sun) event. I would imagine max. distance (flight) will be 4hrs ish.
Barca is a decent idea but we've all done it before, plus I dont think it will be particularly warm in March (compared to say, the Canaries).
But thanks for the suggestions. Keep 'em coming!

Out of season. most of these places will be a bit dead. Cheaper villas tend to be outside the main centres too so require a driver and some owners prefer to rent a week unless it's deadly quiet.
Lanzarote will be quiet - though the changeover day is Thursday - Playa Blanca has not much and its always a gamble if Puerto Del Carmen will be busy or dead. Not sure about Tenerife save to say if you go north, you'll need a villa north as the mountain range down the middle is quite formidable and when I looked, most villas were in the south.
