Anyone work for VW/Audi or Mercedes?

Does anyone work for either VW/Audi or Mercedes and if so do they know how the recurit for IT positions? I am a software developer and live in Milton Keynes (where they are both based) and have always been interested in working for them but I have never seen any developer jobs advertised. I check both companies' career sites regularly but have never seen one. Do they even have an internal development team?

The Mrs works for VW group, they outsource all of their IT to T-systems, very few employees in MK are actually employed by VW group, most of them are via Serco or similar companies.

A friend of mine works for VW in MK, and from general group banter, I believe a lot of the positions (generally speaking) are sourced in-house before any external applicants are requested.

As i say, this isnt gospel, but how i interpreted the situations.
