Clunking noise on RS - Advice needed
Discussion
I bought an RS about 6 months ago; I've had an ongoing issue when reversing and braking and wanted to know if any other RS owners have had the same issue.
Basically when I reverse slowly and brake I get a loud clunk noise. It's been back to the dealer several times and so far they've replaced the front discs once and the front pads twice, thinking that might rectify it, but it hasn't. It went back in again for the front calipers and back discs and pads to be replaced to see if that would rectify it, but when I picked the car up Ford told me it was the drive shaft causing the clunking noise, which they so say sorted, but again the clunking noise is still there.
Does anyone have any ideas or can offer me some advice. Thanks.

Yea I mean a MK2 Focus.
Gareth350, thanks for your comments. I thought it might be that, but it just seems too loud to me to be normal. Plus other RS owners I know haven't experienced the clunking noise. I've owned other Fords and a few other cars over the years, but never experienced this before, plus the dealership I bought it from is treating it as a fault and haven't said anything about it being normal.

It's the front pads moving in the calipers (Gareth mentioned rears, on mine its the fronts). Very disconcerting first time you experience it. Only does it once, not a constant or regular/intermittent knock. Defo a feature rather than a fault so don't worry about it if the car is otherwise ok (braking in a straight line, no other noises or vibrations when travelling in a forwards direction).
ETA: find another dealer!
