Any free wifi at Le mans?

the Ferry
some fuel stations and services on route
Le Mc donalds

does anyone else know of any other places where there's free wifi?

I'll be staying near Arnage and just want the occasional check of emails/facebook etc (yeah sad bd I know )

If you could get connected to any wifi signals it will be very slow because everyone else looking for a signal will be trying to connect to it.

You are only going to be away for less than a week. If anyone is really needing to contact you they will do it the old fashioned way and phone you.

Do you need to do anything you can't do on your mobile phone? If not you may find data roaming is a better option than hunting WiFi.

If you're on Vodafone the basic data roaming is charged at £1/Mb up to 5Mb but they've recently introduced Vodafone Data Traveller.
If you're on a £40+/month tariff you should be able to get VDT free, otherwise it's a choice - £10/month or £2/day for 25Mb.

£2 for 25Mb should voer quite a few emails and Facebook updates!

I'd guess other mobile networks are running similar deals if you're not on Vodafone.

There was supposedly free wifi in the ACO areas last year, but none of us managed to get on it...

We couldn't get the McDonald's wifi to play ball last year, but managed to find an open network up in the village near the Audi display area. There's also a list here of wifi networks in and around Le Mans.

Well this may well be frowned upon .... but
There is always someone who either on purpose or by accident leaves there wifi open.

Just cruise around any built up area, youre bound to find something!
