Anyone on here going? I'll be there with Cerbera and mate Julian with Porsche 996 Turbo. Think some of the BMW M3 CSL guys from here are going to be there too.

I'll also be there with my Cerb - first track day so don't expect any lap records.

Is it my imagination or has the noise limit changed on this event from unrestricted to 105db. Could be a problem, as goodwood measured me at 108db recently.

You're right it has changed! I only booked it because it was unrestricted. Phone call time!

Spoken with Graham at RMA. The limit has changed as Silverstone don't won't totally unsilenced cars on track. The idea is to not annoy the neighbours and then be forced by authorities to impose a stricter 101dB limit. Makes sense to me. If your Cerb has no cats and sports pipes you may be pushing it? I have some ACT silencers I can bring along if you're worried.

Thanks Washy, I also called RMA and got a similar story. In fact I have just ordered the ACT silencers so I should have them by the weekend.

Only just spotted this thread - I was one of the gang trying to get to grips with the Topcats tuscan. An awesome experience - first time out and only overtaken by the GT racecars and a race radical - gives some indication as to how rapid these things are.

Apologies for not saying hello.

As to the PR Motorsport photos - any chance of seeing some of car no.96? Problem is there were 6 of us sharing it (and helmets) so spotting the driver could be tricky!

Cheers Adrian (& black V8S)

Beat me to it! I was sharing the other Tuscan... So, same request as Adrian, only car #20.

(B*gger me but those Porsche GTs are quick.)

Excellent day out and full marks to Topcats Racing - strongly recommended for petrolheads everywhere. I'm sure my neck muscles will recover in a couple of days.

I was another one trying to get to grips with the Topcats Tuscan racer. The acceleration and grip is simply awesome, my jaw muscles are still aching from the grin! It stood up to the abuse we gave it very well, it was on track more or less continuously all day but it never missed a beat. The driver didn't cope quite so well, changing gear through club I was holding onto the wheel so tight with my other hand that I actually bruised it, expect the steering wheel still has my finger prints embossed on it. And our instructors Phil and Charlotte both deserve an award for bravery, I know I certainly wouldn't want to be a passenger in such a brutally fast car with somebody like me driving!
