Advice please on how to get behind/remove speedo to change bulb - looks very awkward

Its very easy,

You dont have to take the dial out (which is held in by a clamp at the back by the way) the 2 bulbs are in individual holders and the holders just push into the back of the speedo / rev counter.

Just reach up behind & give the bulb holder a tug

Beware of the typical TVR cable ties cut off at 45 degrees (this goes for the rest of the car too), you think knives are sharp!
