You have such faith in them!They can do all repairs, (if it's a P/S rack) but not if there is play in the rack bar or pinion, there are no parts available yet.
Have it checked, my P/S rack had an advisery on play in the track rod ball joint, (on the rack itself) this week.
I have just replaced the arm and ball joint as I have 2 spare racks, (with play in the rack bar and pinion)) in the garage!

That's what I had an advisory on a couple of days ago, swapped it for a good un from one of my spare racks last night!But on inspecting the old one, it turned out to be where the track rod end fitted into the cup on the rack.... Could see it easily when the rubber boot was removed....

Or greased them..... mine had slight play on the n/s,tracked it down to the rack,thought bugger ! greased the thing and the play was gone,wonder how many times that gets missed on the service ? 3 grease nipples by the way,one each end by the rack boot,and one on the pinion..... try it and see

Check (mean shake this part and see if there is some play, if yes, rescrew the part or change it)
- LH and RH steering rack support (may be it's the all rack that has some play)
- LH and RH ball joints
- LH and RH ball joints at the level of the steering rack (under the gaiter)
- The 2 Universal Joints in right wheel arch
- steering wheel ball bearing which support the steering column in the wall
If none of these elements seem to be out of order, then it can be the steering rack pinion that has a little play. I can't remember if it can be adjustable (it is on a caterham for example). Have it reconditionned at a specialist if necessary.
Think about adding regularly some grease through the nipples so that things do not wear too quickly.
