'clack' from under-bonnet SLK230
Discussion
Friend of mine has an 'R' reg SLK230.
There are a pair of solenoids at the top of the rhf wing.
These have started to make a regular sort of 'tap' noise.
What do they do - guess it's something to do with heater regulation, and is this new noise a problem?

It's a fair 'clunk' you can hear it inside the car, and feel it on the body of the solenoids.

These are the heater control valves Paul. They should be silent, so I suspect the diaphragms have gone allowing the solenoids to travel against their stops. A pricey wee item by the way. There are a pair of solenoids at the top of the rhf wing.
