Just another confirmation that Fifa doesn't give a sh!t about the common fan, but all they care about is lining their own pockets:

Football bodies Fifa and Uefa have appealed against a European ruling that the World Cup and Euro Championships must be on free-to-air TV in the UK.
In February, the European General Court said the UK could keep the events on a list of "protected" events of national sporting interest shown for free.
It means the two tournaments cannot be sold exclusively to pay-TV firms.
Fifa and Uefa say they cannot sell the events fairly, and the cases will now go to the European Court of Justice.

Im not worried, Sky (for example) would get many more subscribers and so the price would decrease, and would give all the current offerings like EPL and Champions League. No, wait a minute, it wouldn't, the price would stay the same. And if football goes, so will F1.

Money grabbing t
ts. 10 years ago, I would have been up in arms. Now I've accepted that football is a business not a game and we can blame who we like, but we've condoned it by buying sky, welcoming the investment from the Glaziers and other and it's too late. The players are overpaid, the game is money driven and I for one am bored of it (I'm a former reasonable player who did 10 years of good standard footie.
