Currently on my Commencal have Kenda Karma tyres, I noticed on recent weekend at Peaslake there seem to be a mixture of tyres used but large number it seemed to me at least on Maxxis.
My tyres are getting low so starting to think about replacements, I ride mainly trails with loose sand, light rocks and brambles, some drops but nothing massive yet.
I am not the worlds greatest cyclist :-) so a good mixture would be the better approach than the knobbliest sticky glue type things as fair amount of up hill as well as down.
Any recommendations?

I use Panaracer Fires and thoroughly recommend them. That said I have nit tried many alternatives.
Despite not being the lightest tyres they roll a lot faster than most other MTB tyres, seem to grip on most surfaces and wear relatively well.
I used to run summer And winter tyres but there is simply no point anymore.
Obviously semi slicks will roll better and spikes will grip better in snow / ice but 80% of the time Fires are better everytime...
