Any of you guys know which passenger airplanes have the video cameras that show outside footage of the plane in flight?

I'm looking to travel from England to Shanghai and would like to go on a plane with these cameras on if posible. But don't know which of these planes are fitted with the CCTV.

Cheers.

I'm confused. Do the cameras show the plane, or the outside?

If the plane, how much of it do they show, and will it really be that interesting? It can't show the whole plane...

went on a flight from London to LA with Virgin Atlantic in April 2000 which had them

there's a camera on the nose pointing forwards and another somewhere around the front wheel pointing downwards

all I saw was a bloke in a hi-vis looking at the plane before take off, a load of blue sky when in flight and tarmac when landing irked

I couldn't think what they would show that isn't better seen out of a window. Unless they are mounted on a wingtip, and look into where the stewardesses take their breaks. I've seen a documentary about what happens in those rooms...

Would it be a case of the cameras being available by aircraft type, or is it more what the aircraft operator proviedes?

Really wanting to fly on an aircraft with these on as I just find it really interesting to see what's happening outside. The previous long-haul flights I've been on I have found my neck and eyes getting sore from looking out of the window as much as possible.

Quantas A380s have them but I don't think Singapore Airlines do.

Going to Shanghai - Emirates.
The planes generally have one mounted on the tail looking forward, one at the front pointing down.

Once you've taken off and got a few thousand feet up you can see fk all of interest! You can't see enough of the ground to see much - only really useful at take off / landing.

yeah, that's what I'm talking about!
Always wanted to be on a plane that I can see coming in to land.
Also so that I can see all the near misses!
