does anyone know if its possible to remove the V6 engine without the gearbox? thanks

I can't imagine why it wouldn't be possible, you would need to have a bar spanning the engine bay with a chain to support it though.

For the sake of 2 driveshafts, clutch slave piping, reverse & speedo sensors its much easier just to remove the whole lot.

You'll find it hard to split the box from the engine whilst supporting the box and then get a crane in to pull it out.

Proper bd of a job.

Although I suspect easier than doing an alternator on one of these... Now that's tough.

Personally, I'd just take the whole lot out. Just be sure an align the front subframe properly upon refitting.

so you think it would be easier to take the whole lot out. this will be a big job haha
