multi-car insurance question
Discussion
All,
I currently have my car insured with Direct Line and have decided to add an additional car to my policy. My intention is to buy a new car for the daily grind (with my wife as a named driver) and retire the current car to become a weekend/sunny day toy (with me as the only driver). I've just had a quote from Direct Line for the new car, but this is at zero no-claims and is ~£1K. I can only drive one car at a time and expected a small bump in policy rather than thr right royal reaming they want to give me!
Am I better off leaving the daily hack to Direct Line, and taking out a low mileage classics insurance policy with another insurance company for the weekend toy? Anybody had a similar situation and found a cheap and novel way to insure both cars?
