Securing fuse box access panel/CD player dash area

Noticed at Silverstone trackday how slack my fuse box access panel was, on removal the whole dash "appeared" as if it was being held up by it !

Any tips and tricks to secure it in place?

It should have velcro down both sides of the metal tabs that it leans on. Mine has always needed a good tug to get out.

That's all very well, but what about the Fuse box access panel ?

'fraid you are wrong there. That never needs a good tug to get it out.

velcro definately present down each side but not that strong. I expect I could replace it.

However, what about the dash, how slack should it be?
