E Class Estate (W212)
Discussion
There doesn't seem to be much come up in a search on these. Got one for a test this weekend (E250 CDI) as the lease deals on offer at the moment seem quite good.
Are there any owners on here? How do you find the car? I see people talk of injector issues on the diesels, has anyone experienced these?
In terms of spec, are there any must have options? Anything you've specced and isn't worth it or anything you wish you had specced?
Thanks.

I have a E220 Estate Auto Avantgarde, I love it.
Currently averaging 45mpg over 17000miles, it was down around 43mpg from new, and is now more like 48mpg.
In Avantgarde the car is well specced, however I did spec the 80ltr fuel tank (standard on the 350), extra seats in the boot, and driving assistance (you need Nav50 or Comand to take this option). I took the driving assistance because I wanted the radar cruise, Distronic, it is a marvellous invention and takes all the stress out of long journeys or stop/start motorway driving.
Build quality appears fine, the car is a comfortable cruising machine with a huge boot.
The injector issues were 2009/early 2010. These boiled down to a supplier issue which has since been resolved. You can easily tell a car which has defective injectors which haven't been replaced, it won't work! The faulty injectors had a very short working life with cars breaking down within a few thousand miles at most. MB has replaced these and even suspended production while this took place due to limited supplies. That's why there are so few 09 or 10 plate estates around. There shouldn't be any issue today.
I can thoroughly recommend them.
