I've owned my 330 for about 6 months now but recently when accelerating hard in first gear the car will kangaroo like mad. I've. Feeling the vanos seals need doing as when I first got it I felt it was lacking in low down power, but is this cause of the acceleration problems? Also the clutch makes a knocking noise when the car is turned off out of gear, and it's using a litre of oil in a 1000 miles the car has only done 40k. Are these things related?

I would say get a fault reader on it first and see if its throwing up any error codes.

Is that something I'll have to go for the stealers for? Any idea how much they'll lighten me of for that?! Cheers.

I discovered you can just buy a fault reader (asuming you have a laptop) for 20-30 quid and do it youreslf. If you arent in a big hurry, go down that route. If not, a BMW independat would be next choice.

Clutch noise will be the duel mass flywheel rattling although the miles are low for that. Only way to resolve it is a new flywheel and clutch setup - see Euro Car Parts or similar for replacement costs and work on about 4hrs labour at an indy. As for the stuttering, could be alot of things so do as others have said and get the codes read, I had my old M5 read and it was about £30 from an indy.
