A Y reg 1L Micra with 150k on the clock!!

Took my 330ci in to a local BMW indie and that was the only car they had left for me to take

WOW is all I can say!!

There seems to be no sound deadening at all anywhere in the car. It sounds like im driving with my head IN the engine. Its got no rev counter!?! Nothing electic on the inside. I 'just' managed to get it to 60 on a NSL road. It seems to be base spec too. Lots of black blanking plates on the light grey interior where various buttons would be if you spent a bit more. The fabric seats have some sort of psychadelic pattern on them as well.

It is not the best car I have ever driven biggrin I want my beemer back!!

That is all biggrin

My mate had one of them - I remember him taking me out in it and he managed to get 110 mph showing going downhill with a tail wind!

Not something I would want to do again, it was very scary!

That's awesome! No power steering I would guess?

They've given you a go kart for the day :P Think about how nice your BMW's going to feel when you get it back cloud9

The funny thing is, I didnt even need a courtesy car. But these guys are a german car specialist and their forecourt is full of REALLY REALLY nice cars so I figured, being a 'prestige' type garage I would probably get something nice so told them I needed a car.

When I pulled up on my drive my neighbour almost wet himself biggrin

I had a similarly horrendous experience driving a brand new Peugeot 206 while my (then eight year old) E36 BMW was receiving some attention. Ironically the Pug was probably worth three times as much as my beemer.

Last time my dad hit something he got a ford Ka as a courtesy car.

we both agreed it was a riot to drive and much more fun than his boring a4 tdi.

small low powered cars can be excellent fun.
