Hi all

A question that I've searched throughout the web for, but cannot find an answer. And yet a simple one. A friend has invited me to do the Viking Trail with her in a couple of weeks. I can't work out if it's suitable for a normal road bike, though? (as opposed to a mountain bike).

Anyone know?! Thanks!

Yeah I did this earlier in March with a friend in Ramsgate. Road bike is fine. There are patches of fine sand in a couple of places but it's fine for skinny tyres

Ohh actually come to think of it, part of the route goes down a disused railway. We rode down the Thanet Way instead (which is dual carriageway) for about a mile or so
