Ebay or Autotrader to Sell A Cheap Car?

I need to sell my car (sub £1000) and thus far have not even had any Nigerians interested via PH classifieds and the free sites. Never tried Autotrader before but the price isn't as bad as I was expecting at £9.99 for 2 weeks on the website. Sold a few cars through Ebay but have also had plenty of idiots and buyers never bothering to turn up. There's also the issue of the transparent fees that will only become apparent once/if it sells.

In people's experience what is the best one to go for? The one that will get plenty of calls about "we have 10 buyers lined up for your car" or the one which will get plenty of "HI M8 GIV U £100 COLECT 2NITE" texts?

I would use E-bay. Autotrader is difficult to work and many use it for cars of higher value.
