Firstly may I say sorry for not being able to think of a good innuendo for the thread title!
I have, over the last few days been looking in here, and I have laughed at some of the titles that have been posted - well done!

My question:
I'm after buying an MX5 and have gone to look at a few, I've looked a a lot on Ebay, AT and local websites.

Why is it that some cars appear to have a large gap between the rear wheel/tyre and the rear arch but some do not?

The big gaps are likely to be cars on standard UK springs, etc.

If the hype is to be believed, you'll want to get yourself a set of Eibachs to get the most from the car.

I'm happy with my gap because I do a lot of motorway driving.

Could have had-

'Why is mine so big?'

'Should I have it smaller?'

'Is 3 inches normal?'

Possibly the size of the tyres too? I changed mine from 195/65 (or 60), which were the winter tyres on before, to the normal Toyo T1Rs with 195/50. Made a big difference to the gap between the wheels and arches.
