Cerberas & Clutches

OK, silly question time...

I've done a search but couldn't find anything useful. So, what is it about the Cerbera that makes it want to eat clutches and slave cylinders???

...and are there any fixes??

I think the fingers can be broken as they can be pushed too far if the throw isn't set up
properly. The seals go fairly regulary, this could be downnto heat soak from the exhaust routing
or the amount of clutch dust that is present. There's nothing to stop sintered dust getting to them.
There's a Tilton hydraulic slave that if modded would probably work.

I think (Sorry for that) that it's the assembly of the seals and pistons that doesn't have enough coats of thinking about thrown at it. The seals get nicked and their lives correspondingly reduced.

Either that or TVR grew the wrong type of Rubber Trees.

I have never replaced a clutch due to breakage but have replaced a couple of slaves. I have replaced clutches only when engines have been out and you might as well bung a new one in.
