E63

In the near future, I am thinking of getting an E63 AMG, not in the next few months, but perhaps in the next year. Has anyone driven this car, if so, what do you think of it?

My neighbour has the ML63, and it sounds terrific, but personally I prefer the Saloon.

Any thoughts?

didn't drive one, but got driven in one by a director for a company i used to work for. He was a pretty piss poor driver but still managed to scare the living poopy out of me whilst putting a massive smile on my face.

Can't comment on the costs, as he pointed out his was on lease so he just presented his drivers card when it needed fuel and tyre/servicing.

It's the sound that makes me want one, not so much the speed. I drive a fast diesel, a remapped D5 which is very powerful, but the sound of AMG V8 is indescribable.

if you think your remapped D5 is fast wait until you drive an AMG.

Thats the problem, i've never driven one. I have only owned diesels.

Not driven one, but been driven round mercedes benz world in one. If you are considering a purchase I suggest going there and having a blast - serious potential buyers might even get a test drive for free I think?

By the way it's absolutely mental. I need that engine in my life.
