Hi All,

I am about to purchase a second hand Cooper S from a private seller and the warranty runs out in a week or so's time, to continue the warranty it will cost me a bulk payment of £550 or monthly payments that can be cancelled at any point. The TLC XL is being transferred to me which covers oil changes and some services but I am tempted to get the warranty as well as back up plan should anything go wrong as the price of BMW main dealer repairs aren't cheap.

Just wondering if you feel it would be worth extending the warranty

Cheers

Depending on the present condition and mileage and how much you intend to use it and how long you`re planning to keep it for I`d pay the £500 up front.

Having said that, both my cars are out of warranty and I didn`t bother extending them.
