Spare Keys

Having just got my beast but only having one key a thought has occured to me. Where do you get spares cut?
Would any dealership do these? It looks very similar to a Ford key?

It is indeed a ford key, any key cutting service should be able to cut you one.

If you look closely at your new Noble you may spot a few more Ford similarities !

Yea I know it is very Ford based. To be honest, it is one of the reasons I wanted one as I also have the ST220 so I know the engine.

If I remember correctly, in the early days (cue Steve Wright in the afternoon tune ..do do do doooo) the M12 suffered a lot of criticism (or snobbery) because it had a Ford engine. Well I think its partly because it has this engine that the car has stood the test of time and will continue to do so.

My 220 has approaching 100k on it and it runs as sweat as a nut. Love the engine.

Do you have a spare key for the fuel filler and a spare immobiliser `plipper`. If you lose you only set you aren`t going anywhere even if you can undo the steering lock with your new ignition key......

Yes got a spare fuel cap key but only 1 immobiliser fob. Bet thats going to cost?

I bought my spare alarm immobiliser button from eBay, only cost me a pound! Just be careful as there are a couple of different types, they look identical but the part numbers on the back are different. Then all you need to do is re-programe the fob to your car. Simples.

Easy enough, you need to be on nobleparts and download the build manual, it has instructions on how to pair a new button to your alarm.

No probs If yours is the same as mine, on the back it has 225-000 but I bought one with 376-300 on the back and it won't work.

Yea mine says 225-000 on the back. Just been out to try and source one but nothing at the moment. Got a key done though.

I thought the 3 litre engine was from a Ford Maverick as Lee could not get Mondeo engines.

For the Mk3 Mondeo Ford introduced the Duratec and used the 3Ltr V6 for the ST220. This is the same engine as the M12 & the M400. It is also in the Jag S type and the Mazda 6.

There seems to be a similar thing going on with the Volvo lump.
