It's Arrived!!!
Discussion
Well, it seems like it has been a long wait (4 weeks is not that long in all fairness), but my Tuscan 2 S Convertible was delivered yesterday.......
A 3 hour drive yesterday comprised heavy rain and, due to an accident on the M5 which effectively brought the road network in Sout Birmingham to a standstill - the best part of 2 hours in nose to tail, stop/start traffic
Still, could have been worse..
Will post some pictures when I can figure out how to do it. In the meantime, all I can say what a fantastic car.....

Top edge of the test box you fill in to post says 'upload an immage' click on that and then follow the instructions, all you need to do is know where the pics are saved on your computer.
Shep
You may have to resize the pics to make them small enough, microsoft powertoys is the tool for resizing. It take 2 secs to install and then you select the pics you want to resize, right click, choose the size and Robert is your mother's brother Shep

Welcome and enjoy.........
Spirited drive up to Nottingham yesterday - a good few hours of sun helped. Discovered that applying a touch too much throttle in the wet is 'interesting'The car has 12 months warranty - which I am likely to be using as the handbrake stopped working yesterday and the fog lights don't come on either

Going to give the car a proper clean and full valet - pics will go up after that.

Hope you enjoy your new purchase amd I'll get it updated on the register. Only a rear fog light, no fronts. If your rear perspex screen is marked with white lines from the roll bars get some covers on your roll bars...Also consider Emergency entry if your battery is flat ... TVR forgot about it on a convertible..E-mail me if you want information of what to do. Get the roof in and out requires technique and some cars are more difficult than others...Make sure the flap in the boot above the petrol tank is fully pressed down..if necessary you may need to trim the fibreglass. The roof also marks when its sat in the boot (bouncing hitting the boot lid) , so cover over the top is a good idea.

Thanks fella. The roof is a right fag - just about got the knack of getting it into the boot - requires removing the boot seal on the right hand side. Fixing the roof in position is the issue - have tried all types of permetations, but it is very much trial and error - best method so far seems to be to locate the eye whilst sat in the driving seat - attempting it from either offside or nearside usually results in the other side being pushed out. Guess practice will arrive at a solution. Thanks ref advice regarding roof - the roof and rear glass is new, but will look at the rear roll bars.
Sussed out the front fog lights - or lack of front fog lights

Emergency Access in event of flat battery is definitely worth knowing about. Will PM you ref this.
Treating the car to a full detailing and interior valet next week - a few minor blemishes on the drivers side door as well which will get the better of my OCD before the summer.
The handling of the car is 'interesting'. Coming from an B7 Audi RS4 I am evidently going to have to brush up on my rear wheel drive skills, sans driving aids. Sometimes the car feels blindingly quick, other times it is some way off the Audi - all part of the fun of getting to know a new car, but so far I love it.

)The car is being detailed and fully valeted on Wednesday - the chap doing it has asked if he can use it as a case study on his new website (provided I am happy with the end result). Managed to put the roof on first time yesterday - which is just as well as a torrential downpour ensued a few minutes afterwards. Also have the targa roof in the boot bit fully sussed now - lots of strange looks from my neighbours as I practiced different techniques.
Starting to push the car a little bit more down the straights and through the bends, but still some way off where I was the RS4. The thing is, I had the RS4 sussed after a short space of time - it could be driven at full whack without any real issues - but it was an all or nothing car; very difficult to drive at a sedate pace. Getting to know the potential of the Tuscan is going to be a much more drawn out process, but in the meantime I am enjoying just 'burbling' around. The de-sleeve on the exhaust creates a nice overun at relatively low revs, which is amusing.
Handbrake due to be fixed on Monday at my local TVR specialist.
Promise pictures will go up when the car is in decent condition - at the moment it's covered in worcestershire tractor mud and bird crap.
P.S - Went from 2nd gear back into 1st yesterday (trying to find 3rd gear). Let's just say 'I won't be doing that again'

Good looking car B.J.W, am assuming it's the one on the Tuscan convertible register with the fff engine?

Yes, that's the one - although it's an 'S' not a Std (according to Racing Green)Enjoy, and take your time getting used to it!

Will do, I tend to keep my toys for 12 months and then move on - but have a feeling the Tuscan is going to get under my skin.

No 'S' front splitters, Has it the larger brakes ? Aircon ? What diff(3:46,3:72,3:91) and gearbox(close ration or standard ) is in it ? Badges ?Will do, I tend to keep my toys for 12 months and then move on - but have a feeling the Tuscan is going to get under my skin.
RG advertised it as having their own Finger Free S6 engine rather than the original standard TVR engine.
