So we now learn that the much derided CEO is currently on 'enforced' leave, whatever that is. Her main partner in business and supporter, Leader of Council, has resigned his position. Currently a new Leader is in place (temporary) he is Leader elect. The new Leader is busy undoing lots of the damage the old Leader and CEO placed into motion, that was putting out all of the services to private enterprise or simply doing away with services. Hopefully the old CEO will never be seen in Suffolk again and her replacement will bring a far more balanced business plan to satisfy the local population.

So the next question will be: Just how golden is her payoff?

Indeed, I wonder if the contract was a fixed term, which it should have been. Be interesting to see when its made public, the way things sound politically we won't have to wait too long to find out.

£512,000 in gagging orders (double the previous year) - what might these people say and is it a good use of public money ?

Who will the Eye write about now in their Rotten Boroughs column? Oh, wait a bit, there is no shortage of targets.

Tower Hamlets is always doing something if there is a gap in the page layout.

Indeed

There is nothing wrong with contracting out council services, but the woman in question seems to have some major man management issues.

Isn't this enforced leave because one of her employees recently committed suicide?

Yes, alleged bullying of a senior manager who then committed suicide. Other revelations appeared in the Sunday Wail concerning her extremely expensive tastes in hotel accommodation whilst attending conferences. It is alleged that the CEO booked and used rooms that were vastly more expensive than the Council Members booked during the same conference! Well its not her money so why not she might say, and we are not speaking of cheap accommodation here.
