3 wheel cars

Hi all,
Quick question-
Father in law arrives at house and is just generally talking then he says he met one of his old mates who always drives 3 wheel cars because he never passed his car test and drives them on a motorbike licence.
But yesterday he had a small 4 wheel car, so is there small 4 wheel cars you can drive on a motorbike licence.

Aren`t they supposed to have the reverse gear blanked off if you have only got a bike licence.
