MS5: aftermarket remote central locking/alarms

Mrstheboy's lovely Mk1...



...has been fitted with an aftermarket remote central locking/alarm/immob(?) system.

The motors have proved to have a very short life - apparently they get wet inside the doors - one is currently dead and now the other is showing signs of heading that way.

IMHO it will be easier to get a new (perhaps better) system than get a 7+ year old system repaired, just to break again.

Any recommendations?

I also phrased the question badly: we'd want it fitting, so would there be a vendor of these kind of things in Dorset/Somerset/Hants that anyone can recommend?
