'lo all.

The rear wiper motor has packed up on the barge. This, apparently, is not uncommon.

So I need to repair or replace. No worries.

I can't get to the bloody thing. I've removed all the screws from the plastic bootlid cover, and it's still fixed. Looking through the gaps, there appear to be 3 places in the middle that are firmly holding it on the boot. I thought these might be press fits/studs, but I've pulled has hard as I dare and they don't come off.

I don't want to break the plastic. Are these really press fittings?

They are press fittings but I think there are also a couple of screws which are not easily seen. Make sure you view it from all sides - climb in the boot, outside the car with the bootlid opened horizontally, everything you can think of! I think I popped the press fittings with a very long screwdriver.

There are 3 screws hidden behind circular plastic covers. I couldn't see any more?

I will probably be no help, as i am doing this from memory. I had the sam e wiper motor failure as you. There are two screw type things which cannot be accessed through the plasticcover. These two screws are at either edge and up towards the screen. From memory i had to access them from the edge whilst prising the cover up. I got the missus to help to prise it open whilst i accessed the screws.

I seem to remember it wasnt obvious.....

Sorry for being so vague.... Have you tried the dedicated alfa websites
