new MG advert!

I have to disagree with BG on this one; SAIC seem to be good to their word in terms of investment in UK engineering, and trying to get jobs back in longbridge. Not only that but according to the reviews the MG6 seems to handle well so the car is fundementally good underneath.
I can't really see that from a 'brand name abuse' point of view this is any worse than BMW buying MINI really, and on the whole I'm for jobs in the UK even if it is just assembling flat-pack cars from China. The Chinese element could be a great strength - it won't be long before they're matching Jap quality but with incredible industrial resource.
I wish 'em luck.

I see the MG-Rover haters got here first. Wont be long before the head gasket comments start...
I think its a great looking car. Had pretty much glowing reviews from everyone, including the likes of top gear etc. Think what you want but there's no need to knock it just because it's financed by a Chinese company. Seems they've done a better job at building an MG than MG did in the last 20 years.
