Since finding out how 1,how little to insure,2 the price they can be got for am seriously thinking of buying one. Will be a toy so not a daily but will still clock up about 6-7k a year. Now I know there are big bills to be had but spotted one for not alot of money that seems to have had a lot done, new brakes all round, cam belt done 5k ago plus lots of other bits, it`s done just over 70k.Anything big liable to go pop at that sort of milage.

Make sure you get one that's been looked after and has all the problems sorted.

I know a guy that spent 8K keeping his on the road just for one year !!!

Do a search in the Ferrari and Maserati section, it’s a question that comes up seemingly every other week, lots of owners, hints and tips and links to Maserati resources to allow you to do your pre purchase research. . . . IMHO great cars, build quality is sometimes variable, which is way you will hear of some owners who have had to do little more than routine maintenance and others who have had to replace everything including the air in the glovebox!smile

and whatever you do, do NOT ever EVER crack/break those 'boomerang' rear light clusters. They are massively expensive to replace!!!!!

About £700 EACH I seem to recall seeing bandied about!

Pft, try replacing a RHD Ghibli headlight with the black inserts, that will really upset you (there aren't any left!) hehe
