Project Management - Changing Industry/Sector

Hi,

I'm currently a project manager in the construction industry. I've been thinking about changing jobs recently and aside from jobs in the construction industry I was thinking of possibly moving to another sector.

Has anyone here any experience of moving from a project management role in the construction industry to another sector/industry?

I'm due to do a PRINCE2 Practitioner course next month which is generally a pre-requisite/something employers seem to look for in most service sector P.M. jobs I see advertised but I'm keen to find out what else would help and also any general thoughts people might have on this subject.

I can't really offer any tips per se apart from giving encouragement by adding that my other half went from PM in an FMCG/Pharma business to Banking with no formal PM qualifications or certifications per se.
