I have written three times to the Daily Post with details of the horrendous rise in Welsh road deaths and they have not published.

Must try again if this is in today's paper. I was beginning to wonder if they had been leaned on!!

They will all "appear" to have done good becuase :-

1. They will use one years figures against a whole number of years (the ksi figures for 2003 were below the average for 1999 - 2002)

2. The number of deaths at camera sites dropped by 35% since last year (imagine 1999: 100, 2000:105, 2001:95, 2002:145, 2003:95) regression anyone?

3. We are not concerned with figures away from the cameras

4. We are trying reduce KSI's not deaths

5. Speed kills

it will all be complete sh1te.

The whole tone of the article makes it very clear that nothing at all will actually be done, just a lot of phaffing about and "expressing conerns." Heaven forbid anyone would face any consequences
