The 2 new technical forums are great Ted!

Any chance of one called 'Hot Hatch' or something so us without TIV's and the like can reside with our (mainly french) tin boxes?

Thanks
Caggs

You'll be lucky, anyone with something less than a Sports/Super car gets fobbed off. Oh no, we have a forum for Corvettes which gets used loads

You have to understand that the focus of the site and its perception by others is important from a business perspective.

Targeting the site at owners of sports/performance cars is what makes it valuable and sets it apart from other sites on the net.

I do recognise that many have hatches too, but I'm not sure it's a route I want to go down.

And some are powered by the same Rover V8 engine as TVR's hence a mutual link

Why the Ford forum then?

Ford have been building and racing cars succesfully for donkeys years and alot of people either own or have owned a ford at some point.look at the gt40's that were built to smash ferrari's lemans chances when enzo refused to sell to ford, the galaxy and various models of thunderbird indianapolis cars...the escort mk1 and 2 rs,sierra cosworth, escort cosworth and focus rally cars....the ford cortina mk1 and 2 saloon racers, the capri rs2600 and rs3100 track cars and then there are the formula ford cars and the f1 racing team..........and lets not forget that at the end of their lives they can still give entertainment to the masses as the most successfull banger racers (demolition derby drivers) in the u.k have used old ford cortina's and granada's for years because they have the strongest chassis available and you basicly only need a club hammer and a couple of bits of blu-tak to keep them running.

Even the goodwood festival of speed was dedicated to 100 years of ford last year......the sculpture outside goodwood house of the 3 gt40's going across the finish line in 1st 2nd and 3rd place in the rain at lemans was superb.

this obviously isnt everything ford have done racing-wise but it was only a 'for instance' answer.

Runs off to check the car is still there...

Well, the same bare block anyway, the Landrover has 150bhp, a chimera has 230bhp and upwards...

then theres the range rover 4.6 or 4.9 or something... maybe more similar than some tvr owners would care to know?
