Brake lights always on
Discussion
Afternoon chaps,
Problem is that the brake lights have started to stay on permanently. I have traced the problem to the microswitch actuated by the brake master cylinder cam. The problem is that to be off the microswitch actuator must have pressure on it but in my car there is too much clearance between the actuator on the microswitch and the master cylinder cam so that the two never meet - hence brake lights always on. I recon something has fallen off which I suspect is some sort of spacer or split pin. I enclose a photo and would be grateful if anyone can see anything missing. (note photo shows microswitch with top bolt removed and top of switch rotated towards the rear of the car and actuator on microswitch circled)
