I placed an order for a new Fiesta around three months ago, the build time was approx. two months and I've now owned the car for three weeks. Today I checked my phone and see a few missed calls and panicked voicemail from the dealership, they said the finance company has now blocked the finance because the signatures from my driving licence and finance application form are slightly different wobble

So, they've waited three months from the date I first signed the forms and have actually let me have the car for three weeks and are now telling me this? The dealership seem to be stting themselves, they said I need to go back in and sign everything again in order to get all the signatures the same.

It's a bit of a funny way of doing business. What would happen if I couldn't match the signatures?

I find the whole thing hilarious, maybe I should wrap a bandage around my hand and feign injury when I go into the dealers to see what happens hehe

What they're stting themselves about is that I've got a feeling they think the finance agreement is non-enforceable due to the signatures.

Or they're not stting themselves and they just want to get it sorted without having to take it any further?!

The finance forms will have been rejected by the finance house so the dealership will not get paid for the car. It shouldn't have taken this long to sort but havn't you ever "screwed" somthing up?

The dealer principle will be giving some poor guy a lot of st. Go back in and sort it asap so at least you can reduce this guys misery/stress.

Oh and by the way the car hasn't been paid for so title hasn't passed (it's not your car)

Sorted out this morning, I signed my licence when I was 16/17 and the signature is neater, years of signing endless forms have obviously taken their toll. The finance company just took a copy of my new bank card which has a recent signature on.
