I'm looking to relive my youth and get a decent 350-390-420 wedge. No experience with these cars, but had a 4.5 cerebra 15 hrs ago, so I'm aware of the 'issues' the tvrs have. Any ideas who or where have some thing good for sale. I' m based in hertfordshire.

There will no doubt be folk on here who are interested in offering their wedges and of course some will already have put an ad on pistonheads classifieds. Just don't rush into purchasing , take some time to drive some , and don't get hooked on the sound of the first one !

I'd be buying this one if I had the money and didn't already have a trusty red 350i in the garage ...

Definitely..Its a bargain..All the hard graft has been done..If i had a spare chunk of money i would buy it as well...And drive over a 100 miles to get it..And yes its true dont rush into it but if you get something less maintained then its going to start becoming a money pit..

Having spent the best part of my purchase price again on maintainance and upgrades during the time I've owned it if I had my time again I would bite the man's arm off as its not a million miles off what I paid in the first place, all the graft is done so buy it!
Wooly.

I can only speak from my personal experience..I have owned a TVR for 10 months now and i made the mistake of rushing in..My car has cost more than its worth even now it needs more and more time and money spent on it but i have accepted this and have no regrets..Yes they all have their issues, Some more than others but if i had the chance and the money i would definitely buy one that has had a fully documented re-build from the chassis up..I have seen a few nice examples come and go on the classifieds and they were at cost what ive spent on mine just to get it roadworthy but again they needed some TLC as well..
Its not that often that you get a car come up that is probably better than when it first rolled off the production line..I feel that these cars are timeless classics and will get better with age especially if they have been lovingly restored by someone who appreciates them..Good luck..Ziga

KR.

let us know when you get one and we can tear up the road from aylesbury to ricky !! A413 ?
I like the bit around GT missenden (nice and quick)
Seriously tho, would be nice to have another in this area.....and i don't really tear up any roads, just like the V8 soundtrack (shames the Z3/4 and porker owners)

Probably, as with any TVR. Have you considered this one http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2822015.htm at half the price of the one mentioned above.

Hello Andy, nice one.
Don't have a local meet sussed at the moment.
They're used to be one at a pub in Harefield...but i have been told it no longer happens.
Me and a chimp driver (and zig) are heading up to the ACE Cafe wed night after 6pm this wed. It's the Middlesex TVR regional lot.
Living where i do is great as i can lock in west london, herts and bucks...so would be interested to learn of any meets.
Failing that andy, a blat out for us both could result in a halfway house meet !!!
Let me know your thoughts.

Gavin.

Also, there is a chap (paul i think) who has a gold 350I (i think) who lives Penn/penn st way winchmore hill perhaps who mailed me last year to say hi (my car is only now on the road)
Where are you Paul !!!!
