I am developing a liking for French cars.

I realised it today when I was admiring a Citroen C5? At the lights. It's the model below the C6 which I love.

I have found myself admiring the new Pug Exac saloon and estate too. I know it will be a stty taxi in 18 months or so.

What is it? Just a funny phase I am going through, or are modern French barges worth a look these days?

Less so than ever IMO. I hope they have reached a peak in their design of unimaginative, boring, insipid euroboxes and start producing some decent cars soon.

Nothing modern, but the Citroen DS (original) is one of the greatest cars ever made.

I can also see the appeal of a hot clio.

Most modern peugeots are dire uninteresting things.

Disagree, latest C5 is very handsome. Original one was dire ugly. Also the new pug barge is pretty smart. They are definitely raising their game. Citroen in particular have a very strong range, moving upmarket while still capturing lots of mass-market attention.

Most Peugeots still look awful though, I grant you.

Don't try and lumber my team with association to boring French saloons thank you very much!! punch

You should know that we're all too busy buying MX5s to have time to devote to barges... rofl

There should be some help available for you. Just don't do anything rash, talk to your GP and see if he can prescribe anything to help.

On the other hand a test drive may just be the cure you need!

Most of the modern Peugeots I will agree, but Citroen C5 and C6 are both very stylish cars. Its most of the german stuff I would call unimaginative and boring(style wise). Peugeot had lost it for a while, but hopefully the RCZ is a step in the right direction for them.
All imho of course smile

C6, DS3 & RCZ all look great to me. The new C4 looks very boring though, big dissappointment.
